Hacker Earth

Hacker Earth
'I have not yet completed the factorial question on Code Chief' - Really? Sounds funny. Who the hell stays for 2 months(i guess) on the same question.
i got back on the competitive coding websites 2 days ago and finally i get the feel of why our seniors say - 'it's addictive'.
This time i chose hacker earth. Well it went some thing like this - I went to the college library with my guides for the college primarily exams(and yes i did study for the exams). And then there was one of my classmate sitting there in a corner with his laptop on going through some problem on Hacker Earth. I went to him and he immediately took his gaze off the screen and said ' ha baas dekte raheta kabhi kabhi ' (i see them some times). I asked him if he'd solved the factorial question, he had not. Now there we have our lost hopes back. I returned home and opened the site. Ashish asked his progress on the site and so we searched for him on Hacker Earth.
TLDR - So here's the strategy for continued progress without loosing hope -
Search for your peers on Hacker Earth and attempt their successful submissions.
You get some you don't get others but you gain confidence. This is much better than sorting the problems according to successful submissions!
But remember -
You'll survive the heat if you love it.
Happy Coding :)

  1. Hacker Earth is a great place to start for beginners. Although the test cases here are visible to the user unlike some other competitive coding websites like CodeChef. Although this helps a lot in the debugging process, this is not the case in the real world. The challenge is to find the bug without knowing the test cases.
